Dear Members,

The Sheet Metal Occupational Health Institute Trust (SMOHIT) will be conducting its SMART MAP training for our Local July 25^th and 26^th. SMART MAP is a mental health awareness and peer training program that highlights mental health issues such as drug and alcohol abuse, suicide and other issues like depression then adds skill-building components so members can better help members through support and identifying helpful resources and building peer support for union members and their families. SMART MAP Mentors are compassionate, empathetic, and well-respected union members who offer support and direction to our members during some of life’s most challenging moments.

If you are interested in receiving this peer-focused training and becoming a peer mentor, Local #103 along with the mental health team at SMOHIT will be providing a 2-day training on July 25^th and 26^th in Billings Montana.
